Sundown

Not all good bands reside in NYC, L.A. or Seattle. Some, like Sundown, are doing their thing in some of the smallest towns in the country. Unless you’re actually from Norwich, East Pharsalia or Greene, it’s unlikely you’ve ever heard of the cow towns of Upstate NY. But if you are familiar with these quaint little towns, it’s possible you have run across Sundown at a local bar somewhere along the way. (more…)

Infected Mushroom LIVE

Concert Preview: Infected Mushroom Live On Tour

Erez Eisen and Amit "Duvdev" Duvedevani

Infected Mushroom seems to get their voice of passion from ingesting the great mysterious magic mushroom. Depending on the strain of mushie would determine the intensity of their elicit state in which they create their music. We’re not 100% sure if the guys do in fact ingest the aforementioned fungi, but it doesn’t matter. Their psy-trance beats can transport you to another dimension whether they, or you, are straight or … not.

And now is a great time to check them out, as they are currently on tour in support of their upcoming release, Legend of the Black Shawarma, which will be released Sept. 8 on Perfecto Records. This, Infected’s eighth CD, features vocal performances by Korn’s Jonathan Davis on the lead single, “Smashing The Opponent,” and Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell on the track “Killing Time”.

“It’s a really diverse record,” Duvdev (Amit Duvedevani) says, “but it’s even more aggressive-both on the metal side and on the breakbeat side.”

No doubt the live show will take this diversity to even more extreme and conscience-expanding levels … if you let it.
