ABOUT PPR:

Pitch Perfect Reviews was created in August, 2006, by Rachel Heisler. Heisler has more than 10 years of writing experience, mostly for alt.newpapers such as Weekly Alibi and Local iQ (Albuquerque) and Las Vegas Weekly and CityLife (Las Vegas, NV), as well as numerous publications across the Southwest.

While living in New Mexico, Heisler headed two bands, Dusted and Blame It On Rachel. Though she loved being on stage, it was the local behind-the-scenes energy that fascinated her the most. After moving to Las Vegas in 2005, she decided to create an outlet that would allow her to experience music in a whole new way – her way.

PPR is dedicated to music, plain and simple. It is designed to get the word out about anything concerning the topic, whether it’s reviews on CDs, book, DVDs, product lines, venues, etc. And all are welcome to send their information in for review – from the newest, smallest garage band to the largest, nationally known act. There’s always room for more.

We give our opinion on the music we hear, and we know that not everyone will agree with our point of view. That said, whether we are “right” or “wrong,” we feel this is our chance to give back to musicians and music lovers by giving a voice to as many bands as possible. We encourage you to leave your comments, good or bad, so you can let others know what you think about the music we highlight.

nikki.jpg Nikki Williams, Henderson, NV: Yes, I am a part of the machine of capitalism. I work for a Marketing and Public Relations firm just outside of Sin City and I love it because it allows me to be crazy in the name of good, clean writing. (If they only knew.) Because I have to be so f’in positive at work, it’s wonderful to be so candid about music. Music good! However, if you’re an artist and you know you suck I’m going to be terribly honest. Smooches!

jenny-g.jpg Jenny Gamble-Jenny is a freelance writer for the Weekly Alibi, a local promoter, does tour booking for regional bands and works full-time with a production company called Audio Excellence. She was also Miss December in a 2008 pin-up calendar.

WEB MASTER:

Dan Kaufman: Dan is PPR’s East Coast representative. Before having his first son, Lex, Dan spent his time sucking down movies as fast as they made them. He has started Shapelight, a web design company, and is the busiest man we know. For more information, e-mail dan@shapelight.com.

Rachel would like to thank Dan for his wonderful help with this project. If it weren’t for him these reviews would still be written on bar napkins.
